This app is the most useful thing to ever happen in osteopathic medical education. ---in the palms of students hands they may now see how to DO OMT. ---its very challenging to learn OMT by reading alone, the classes are essential; ---but, until now, there was no easy way to review what was learned in class. ---now, leaners can review OMT from a mobile device in the palm of their hands. ---an osteopathic medical student without this app is like canoeing without a paddle; a student with this app has a resource they will use their entire career. Kudos to Ken Nelson, DO & Southin Simphoukham for proving collaborative synergy is alive and well. You might find it best to download the app to your computer and then synch.
This DO OMT app is fantastic! Well organized and techniques are expertly demonstrated by Dr. Ken Nelson and his assistants. This was well worth the $9.99 fee for the app. We need to be able to rate the app with the 5 star technique so there has to be a means of adding the rating part to the app. This is a great tool for not only the students and residents but for the practicing physician. The only issue with the app is that it takes a long time for it to download due to the volume of material, but that too, is a small price to pay for an excellent app that can be used everyday in practice, learning and in teaching OMM. As someone who uses OMM everyday with my patients this app allows me to review some techniques that I may find helpful and assist me with the techniques that I presently use since it is accessible on my iPad for immediate review. This app is an excellent tool for reminders of techniques. It is well organized making it very easy to find exactly what you are looking for. The videos are clear and the explanations are also clear. The app takes a long time to download just because of all of the video content but that is not a big deal. As a student it is an excellent tool and i will continue to use it as a resident.
Long awaited! Best 10 bucks I have spent in over 20 years for my education. Only negative is that videos do not always show up. Maybe in the upgrade?
Fantastic app! Good organization, standardized terminology, quality video. This is based on one of the best OMT texts out there. It is a valuable tool for all DOs. I have been avidly using manipulation for 10 years, and I learned something within 2 minutes of using the app. High yield!
